The Blackwatch Feed Programs have been used by breeders and owners for the past 25 years with great success. But dealing with large and giant breeds for 36 years, I have come to realize through my own feed trials that the large/giant breeds have special nutritional needs.
Based on my years of personal and university research, and feed trials on giant breeds, I have developed THE BLACKWATCH CORE 4 philosophy which means that I feel all dogs/cats (and humans) regardless the method of feeding; kibble, homemade or raw, do much better in the long run when the CORE 4 supplements are included into their daily routine.

The CORE 4 is a series of 4 critical supplements necessary to enhance your current feeding program and promote wellness for your pet. The CORE 4 is the most "basic" supplements that all my pets are fed on a daily basis (including our family).
The CORE 4 consists of the following:
1) Probiotics - a blend of DFM's or beneficial bacteria also known as "intestinal flora" which protects the lining of the gut, helping to prevent pathogenic overgrowth (bacteria/fungus/yeasts) which compromises the protective lining of the gut. Dietary enzymes have strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties and they detoxify the body quickly, which speeds any healing and repair at a cellular level. 4) Ox-E-Drops - The primary reason this liquid concentrate is in The Blackwatch Core 4, is because it helps to keep a healthy the pH in the gut so pathogenic bacteria and fungus such as Candida Albicans(yeast overgrowth) does not over growth and make the dogs more prone to bloat and systemic yeast infections. But due to the detoxification qualities from the Nzymes phytonutrients, do not double dose the pet right away - I suggest working up to a normal dose over a week's time, then you can double dose for two weeks during the detoxification process, then go back to a normal dosage, daily. The last thing you need is to have them going to the bathroom in the middle of the night or in a crate while you are at work because they detoxified too fast. I give all the supplements in the AM feeding and once they are used to them you can too, but my suggestion is to divide them in AM and PM feedings. Until their body's are used to new foods and supplements.
